Who is Denyse? Oh-la-la!

Denyse Uwineza is a young Rwandan woman who works with The Women's Bakery as a Training Facilitator. She is a very important member of TWB.

Most recently, she finished her first TWB training program facilitation at Bumba-Rutsiro, with a group of 20 women.  

This week, she offered her time to speak with us about her life after work.

When you leave work in the evening, what do you usually do?

I go home and cook, I always spend one to two hours on the internet learning something new and reading news. I talk to my family members, chat with friends and go to bed around 11:00 pm.   

What does a typical Friday night look like for you?

I normally go to church for evening service, and after the service I go out with friends and we chill, eat, dance and go home around midnight.

What is your favorite meal or food?                                    

My favorite foods are isombe, rice, mangoes and milk. I really like sprite soda and fruits in general.

How do you spend your weekends?

On Saturday morning, I go jogging and after, I stay at home with my family members, cooking and taking care of my cats. In the afternoon I go to visit friends or have visitors at home.  On Sunday I go to church in the morning and in the afternoon I finish my work if I have any uncompleted tasks. Then, I enjoy home life!

Do you play any sports or have any interesting hobbies?

Oh lala, I like swimming and jogging, huum I like music!!!

How would you describe your social life?

I am an outgoing person, I really enjoy being with friends, sharing ideas and just talking…I try to be a friendly person.

Favorite sayings?

Olala! Oh imagine! Ohhh Mon Dieu! Ohhh no!  Sibyo?.

What do you enjoy at The Women’s Bakery?

I do like everything! (including the women, do you remember the other video?) Olala, Oh wow.  I like The Women’s Bakery working environment, everyone is helpful and flexible!
