TWB’s New Flagship Location!

We've moved!

The Women's Bakery is settling in to its new flagship location in the Kicukiro district of Kigali. We brought together the teams and equipment from our previous flagship in Kigali, and the nearby Ruyenzi bakery, to this much larger facility. The new bakery spans 1,514 square meters, and allows for four times the production capacity of the previous two.

PRODUCTION
Combining the previous Kigali and Ruyenzi bakeries helps us streamline and scale our operations. In addition to relocating our ovens and core equipment, we’ve added several new tools to support production and innovation, including a double door proofer, pastry sheeter, fryer, and water chiller. These upgrades help us meet demand and explore new recipe development.

OFFICES
Our new office provides space for all 14 managers to work and collaborate. We also have a conference room—which our previous space lacked—where we're able to host meetings with potential customers, partners, and donors.

BABY HOUSE
The on-site Baby House (childcare) is a positive, educational space for staff children. There are currently four children who come to the bakery for care, where they have a safe and clean environment to learn, play and grow in.

CANTEEN
The canteen is where staff can cook and enjoy meals together. During shifts, bakers and team members are able to sit down and enjoy breakfast or lunch, building community and while they restore their energy.

This move is more than a new address—it’s an opportunity for TWB to continue to scale our operations and impact throughout Rwanda. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
