Celebrating 10 Years of Impact

As our tenth year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year full of incredible growth, transformation and impact!

This year we: 

• Opened two new bakeries: one to increase capacity in and around Kigali, and one in the second largest city in Rwanda.

• Repositioned our Gicumbi bakery as a social impact bakery to serve local students, providing free bread to support nutrition and encourage school attendance.

• Expanded One Bread Project to serve Early Childhood Development students in all areas where we work. 

• Grew our team with an in-house training program, in which long-standing bakers share their skills and expertise with new team members.

• Improved our Whole Women Programming by offering better health insurance to all Rwandan team members, and launching a retirement program for women who have dedicated so much to TWB. 

Here’s to ten years, and many more to come!
