Denyse Uwineza


Training Facilitator

Denyse values determination as a key to success, opting always to try new things and enjoy new experiences. She is passionate about promoting gender equality for women and girls, and she has attended several gender training sessions at the international levels.

Denyse is an ambitious, insightful change-maker that continues to make a wide impact with her work – in and out of Rwanda. Educationally, Denyse comes with a background in Computer Science and Systems (B.A.) and a Master’s of Gender and Development. Her joint interest in technology and leadership have led her to assist with well-known youth organizations, like the Rwanda Youth Alliance Climate for Action, International Youth Fellowship, and Ignite the Youth of Africa. Most recently, Denyse was selected as a Mandela-Washington Fellow through the Young African Leaders Initiative, a prestigious professional development opportunity for rising leaders across the continent.

In her role as Training Facilitator, Denyse has utilized her vast know-how in gender development and advocacy to lead TWB training groups in Rwanda. Along with TWB’s Training Manager, Denyse delivers TWB lessons and curriculum content to ensure a continuation of our high standard for business education and bakery launches. In addition to her curriculum and training support, Denyse has also served as Bakery Operations Manager for TWB’s bakery in Ndera, just East of Kigali. In this position, Denyse applied management, accounting, and operational knowledge to ensure streamlined TWB practices and processes for bakery launch and operation.

Denyse loves to go shopping and spend time with her friends on the weekends. She is also an avid reader and loves learning about new things.
